Attorney Bios

Katrice D.P. Feild

Katrice Feild is a senior associate attorney working primarily in the practice areas of economic development, business formations, probate/estate planning and intellectual property law. She currently serves as PILOT Counsel for the Economic Development Growth Engine (EDGE) in which she drafts, reviews and negotiates numerous legal documents, memoranda of opinion and advises on legal issues that arise in the course of their business.

During law school, Attorney Feild was the Peer Tutoring Chair of the Student Bar Association, Student Ambassador for the Thurgood Marshall College Fund Law, and Captain of the Thurgood Marshall Mock Trial Competition Team. Prior to law school, Attorney Feild worked as an intern with Shapiro and Kirsch, LLP and volunteered with the Shelby County Public Defender’s Office, both in Memphis, Tennessee.

Attorney Feild is an active member of the Memphis Bar Association and Ben F. Jones Chapter of the National Bar Association. Her most notable honor is being published in the Thurgood Marshall School of Law Gender, Race and Justice Law Journal with her note entitled, Which Way Does the Scale Tip? Utility of University Hate Speech Codes: Protection and Promotion of Religious Free Exercise Rights of Students. Attorney Feild also devotes her time as an admissions interviewer and GOLD Class Agent for Vanderbilt University, a pro bono clinic volunteer for Memphis Area Legal Services and is a member of the Character and Fitness Committee for the TN Board of Law Examiners. Having devoted numerous hours of pro bono legal services to Memphians, Attorney Feild has been listed on the Tennessee Bar Association’s Pro Bono Honor Roll.

Attorney Feild earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. She then earned her Juris Doctorate degree from Florida A&M University College of Law in Orlando, Florida, with cum laude honors.
